No Coding Experience Required
You don’t have to know how to code to apply to the Piscine. Whatever your starting level is, the idea is to test the candidates’ involvement capacity.
First Steps with C Programming
Instead of offering a direct computer initiation, the Piscine allows you to begin the curriculum with intensive training in C, which is the first language you must use during the course.
A One-Month Immersive Experience
For one month, the Piscine at 42 gives you an opportunity to experience the teaching methods of the school: peer-to-peer learning, group work, peer evaluation, and project pedagogy.

To register for a Piscine, you must first attend a Meeting on-campus. Piscine results are sent within 10 days after its completion. It is not possible to request a transfer to another campus at this stage: successfully completing 42 Tirana’s Piscine means being able to join 42 Tirana.
Candidates can try their luck in 2 Piscines maximum, on all 42 and partner campuses combined, throughout their lifetime. Candidates cannot apply for a 2nd Piscine until after the Kickoff.

The 2025 cohort registrations for 42 Tirana open in February and end in July. However, registrations for 2026 Piscines remain open.

The meetings are organized in the months preceding each Piscine. For 2026 Piscines, join weekly introduction meetings starting November 18 at 42 Tirana’s Auditorium (Yellow Pyramid’s Cube).
